Families come in many different configurations, all equally important. Families do not need to be solely comprised of one mother, one father, and 2.5 children -- families just need to be comprised of love and support.

I think what it says about families is that even though a family may not be traditional but the important thing is that they love each other!

I believe this story is telling me that even though some families are not traditional as in man and woman but we need to support them as parents of the children in our care and try not to put our value upon them.

The message given by this story is one of love and acceptance. Also, that not all families have to be mommy and daddy, sometimes we have two mommies or two daddies or only one of either. Families mean love and care not race, gender, or size.

in this video i found that the message given about families is that their are not just one type of family out there in the world. their are many ways a family can be called one. for a family to be officially called one does not matter if their are 2 dads or 2 moms. its the care for the child and how it is emotionally, physically, and mentally raised.

Family is defined by love. Family is a feeling that everyone knows. Sexual orientation, color, creed do not matter. Emotion is at the center of family.

Families are created by people who love each other and will love each other no matter what. It doesn't matter if they are created by blood or by commitment, love and acceptance are the most important things.

(wiping tears away) The message that it is LOVE that unites a family is the first message, and I also appreciate the second message that seems to be that the wish to have one and the commitment to do whatever it takes to make and sustain one is all it should require to make a family.

Basically, the most important thing about family is love. All families are different but love above all is what brings a family together, not who is apart of it.

The love that binds the members together is what makes a family. If we lose the filters that tradition and culture lay on us we can see that the true essence of a family is love, acceptance and mutual support.

From the very beginning of the video we are introduced not just to different animals in the zoo but to different types of families too. We were told little bits about each animal family group; what they were doing or what they looked like but all of them though they were different loved and cared for their babies. with roy and silo it is no different tail when it came to the love of their baby. A family is a family no matter what shape, size, color or sexual orientation. And said best by the Beatles "...All you need is love; Love, Love is all you need" <3

There are many different types and styles of families, but that doesn't mean they are wrong. As long as there is love in the family unit, it doesn't matter if there are two daddies, two mommies, one mom and one dad, or only one mom.

The book is telling me that the world we live in today has become modern. Not only mother and father raises health child but also 2 daddies or mummies can have family and raise health child. The main point of the story is, no mater what your belief are, don't interfere with others believes and try to be respected.

I think it is saying that no matter if the children have a mom and dad or two moms or two dads for divorced families that as long as the children are show love and affection that is what is most important. Also that we accept these families and help each family field just as equally important in our classroom.
