Social services, medical and dental care, food stamps, WIC, food banks, housing, activities and free schooling are community resources available to families with young children.

These resources are valuable to families, because a lot of families wouldn’t be able to afford them otherwise.

Families need access to information about resources involving food, health, education, shelter. This is incredibly important because, as it is already difficult to raise a child, it becomes even more difficult when the needs of the caregivers are not being met.

Medical, housing, food assistance, after school care, interventions, language support, specialists. There are all types of family structures and often families are struggling to get by and need assistance and resources to get that assistance.

Community resources would be like DSHS where you would get food stamps, low income housing, subsidized child care, WIC,
These help families to be more successful and build themselves up and keep a happy safe environment where their child(ren) can thrive and wont starve, where there mom or dad (or both) can go to work and still have affordable care
and like we learned earlier Children in a toxic environment due to little food or bad living environment suffer in there education and their confidence and it can be long lasting.
so these community resources help to diminish those numbers to have happier healthier children and families.

The resources needed for families is limitless. It is not just low-income families who are struggling. Everyone is struggling. We no longer have a middle-class to support the economic standards that America had before. This has put an incredible strain on our current resources. Resources such as housing, food, clothing, rental assistance, homeless and at risk homelessness. Also, medical care, now that ACA maybe dissolved next year with the new president administration. Medical issues are going to be on the rise.

It's so important to work with each other to help raise each other in order to survive. Its tough but we will get through this. Resources created to help those who aren't or can't help themselves. As I learned from my professors for my human development degree, "the best way to know who a society is thriving; see how that society is supporting their most vulnerable, ill and the needy". Right now I don't doing enough due to access to resources and funds. I can't say we are proudly we are doing everything we can. We could do better.

What kinds of community resources and referrals are typically needed by families with young children? Community resources and referrals may include developmental or behavioral specialists, healthcare providers, dental providers, school districts or school readiness resources, mommy or parent groups, websites or other sources of information regarding child health, safety, and development, and other resources that parents may find useful.
Why are community resources valuable to families? Community resources are valuable to families because they can help provide families with outlets to learn more about their children, help their children learn and grow to their full potential, and be aware of the solutions and strategies that are available to help their children overcome challenges.

Families with young children typically need community resources like developmental screening and assessment, medical, dental, and mental health services, and educational and recreational opportunities.
Community resources are valuable for families for two main reason, though I'm sure there are many. Families, and in turn their children, who are struggling with income can be denied opportunities that higher income families have access to. Because of this, additional opportunities that are offered are important so that every child has access to safe, kind, affordable care and resources. I also think that community programs and resources are extremely valuable to families because it helps connect people together who might have never met, on the basis of having and loving their children. It is always good to have a wide network of people you can depend on for advice and kindness, and I think that community programs help support those relationships.

There are many different kinds of resources and referrals typically needed by families with young children. Some of these include medical resources like a pediatrician, speech therapist, physical therapist, therapist etc. They may also include resources related to help with housing and healthcare and food benefits, as well informational resources such as libraries and handouts about early childhood.

Community resources are valuable to families because, as they say, "it takes a village to raise a child." No family knows how to do everything by themselves. Having resources available to them can help alleviate some of their stress and help them to support their children's growth and wellbeing by going outside of the family unit for information.
