1. The classroom appears to be best for preschool or early preschool
2. The room looks nice and organized, and the open spaces are nice!
3. I would definitely separate the different areas so that there would be distinct areas for specific activities.
4. The space is very open and inviting! I love the different colors.
5.The classroom has different colors, stimulating toys/activities, and it looks like a good environment for the children of preschool age.

1. 1-3 year olds
2. Lots of room to play, explore, run. There are separate areas for table work, eating, playing with toys, open area for circle time
3... I would break up the room into more well defined areas. This would allow for more classroom control, and provide more productive environments for the children to learn.

4. Three, the toy area, the carpet, and the tables.
5. It could be safer in that the current layout will result in numerous uncontrolled kids running around, an into each other. It comes across as a little cold and not so inviting. It needs more art and comfortable sub environments.

1.Early preschoolers I think
2. The room looks clean and open with accessible toys and a cozy rug.
3. I would like to separate the large open space a bit, in order to make distinct spaces for different activities.
4.There are two or three distinct areas, most of the space is open.
5.The environment has the appropriate toys and furniture, looks fine to me.

1.This classroom is for young preschoolers, ages 2 or 3
2. Bright walls, kitchenette, low chairs and tables, large rug and lots of open space.
3. I would change the wall color. It is a very bright yellow and it may be distracting to young children.
4. Four learning centers
5. This environment looks safe and welcoming.

1. This environment appears to serve either toddlers or young preschool, indicated by the small tables and chairs.

2.The animated carpet, the bright sunny colored walls, the child sized furniture, the open space and it looks like there is a bathroom with small toilets.

3.I would add more visual stimulants to the wall. Children's art work and other displays that represent diversity.

4. I see about 5.

5. The environment does look safe. It's very clean and looks well kept. It could be much more inviting. You don't see much in the photo.

I think the environment serves toddlers.
The environment perhaps appeals to that age group because it is their-size, colorful, has a soft rug, open, and seems clean.
If this were my classroom, I would create more stations and alternate areas for the children to explore in order to provide more options.
I saw only two learning centers in the photo: the small tables and the rug. The environment appears to be inviting and safe.

1.By the size of the tables and chairs I would say this was a toddler room
2.It's very spacious, has a big soft rug for circle/ group time, the shelves I can see seem to be utilized with toys and bins, room seems inviting, appropriate sized furniture
3.I would paint the wall a more calming blue color for a more nurturing environment. put the alphabet on the wall, numbers too, kids art, a primary color wheel
4.3 (the picture is also kind of blurry)
5. It looks safe and spacious and from what I can see of the room with the rug and the close tables it seems inviting

1. pre-k
2. a. the writing area. b. the group area rug looks inviting. c. I like how open the room is, very easy for the little ones to go about their play. d. where the white boards are is at a good level. e. the chairs and tables are a perfect height for them.
3. the cabinet on the left, there are things on this that are close to the edge that look like they might be heavy, also the bare walls. there is no art made by the kids anywhere in sight.
4. I see 5 if you include the bathroom as a learning area.
5. I think it is mostly, like I said above the cabinet doesn't look safe and the walls are bare, if you put the art work up I feel it would be more inviting.

1.Based on the size of the furniture and the height of the toys, I would guess older preeschool, 3-5.

2.The yellow walls, blue lined chairs, multi color furniture, bunny and mushroom rug and blue bathroom would all be very appealing to this age group.

3. If I could change something I would HANG SOMETHING ON THE WALLS. The room looks like it might be in a children's HOSPITAL without it, To sterile for my taste. Also there doesn't appear to be any zones for play!

3. Yes it, definitely looks clean and safe.

1. Which age group do you think this environment serves? It is unclear what age group this environment serves as it does not have any sort of toys or visuals displayed to indicate what age it may be geared towards.
2. What five elements about the environment do you find most appealing to that specific age group? Some elements about the classroom that are appealing are the large open rug area which has plenty of space for active play, the table area which has lots of space for large group activities or eating, the size of the classroom which is very large, the high ceilings which make the classroom feel more open, and the storage areas which are great for storing teacher materials.
3. What would you change if this were your classroom or home? Why? If this were my classroom I would change a lot of things. First of all, I would change the wall color to something more mellow than the vibrant yellow because it is not a very visually appealing or calming color. Next, I would make sure that all toys and materials were visually and physically accessible by children. This classroom appears to have no toys or materials. I would also spread out the tables so that they could go in different areas for different activities: for example, a table for children to do art, a table by dramatic play items like fake food or doctor materials for acting things out, a table in a writing center, etc. Finally, I would incorporate meaningful wall displays to display student artwork or reflect and continue student learning and reflect the diversity of the world.
How many interest areas or learning centers do you see in the photo?
Do you believe the environment is inviting and safe based on the picture? Explain.

1. I think this environment is set up for 3-4 year olds.
2. Five appealing elements to the age group: Child sized furniture, bright and engaging colors, a soft carpet for group time, well lit, block center.
3. I would include some child's artwork on the walls and hang chimes or sea shells in the windows. I would also add more centers for learning and playing.
4. I see three centers: blocks, group area (carpet), and child sized furniture (for food, art, or math)
5. I think that it's safe but not very inviting. The yellow walls are garish and not very calming. The room is also pretty barren of activities and engaging centers.

1. I believe this room serves preschool aged children.
2. The top five appealing elements for this age group would be the cleanliness, the family style eating areas, child sized furniture, rug for circle time and the spread out play areas.
3. I would change the bright colors to something more neutral, I would incorporate cultural aspects of the children in the class, I would make toys accessible creating inviting play and learning and I would move the furniture to create specific play areas and to reduce running.
4. I see five interest areas in the photo. Eating, circle/gathering time on the rug, and three other shelves/cabinets that may be holding toys.
5. I believe the environment in the photo is safe but not inviting. There is no artwork on the walls, the bright colors are over stimulating and there is too much open space.

Q1)Which age group do you think this environment serves?
A1) This environment serves children of ages 2-5

Q2) What five elements about the environment do you find most appealing to that specific age group?
A2) The child sized chairs and tables, The colorful primary colors used, the fun and comfy floor mat, the bright and cheerful windows for optimal natural lighting, and the display/storage space for the children to use.

Q3) What would you change if this were your classroom or home? Why?
A3) I would add more of the children contributed art work to the walls so that the space is more "their" space and thus being more inviting.

Q4) How many interest areas or learning centers do you see in the photo?
Q5) I see 3 areas. Math and Manipulatives Center, Group Activity Area, and Writing and Listening Area

Q6) Do you believe the environment is inviting and safe based on the picture? Explain.
A6) I believe that this environment is safe for children due to the lack of clutter and easy access between areas. However I do not feel that it is as inviting as it could be due to the void walls with no art or child contributed items. It seems very bland and not as if children play here.

~Which age group do you think this environment serves?
I believe this is for preschoolers and maybe toddlers
.
~What five elements about the environment do you find most appealing to that specific age group?

I would have to say the color of the walls attract the children as well as the space.

~What would you change if this were your classroom or home? Why?

I would changed the fact they didnt have pictures hanging up on the wall to make them feel more at home and something interesting to put up, as well as have the children color so
I can hang up their art work. The classroom in the picture is really empty feeling.I would also break up the large space that there is with different stations because to the look of it the picture there is no differential space from the play kitchen area to the square rug

~How many interest areas or learning centers do you see in the photo?

It looks like this class would be for 2-3 yr old based on the size of the furniture. It looks warm and inviting due to the colors in the class. There is a lot of space for free roam with out being too cluttered. it looks like the block center is in the picture i don't see any other centers but that just means they are more spread out in the classroom. What i would change is probably to have the table be close to the different centers so that they know which center is which and they can play with the toys on the table instead of carrying them across the classroom which makes organization a little more difficult. Also i would add a little more art and pictures to the wall so its not so plain but actually looks like kids are doing activities in there.

I believe the room is for 4-5 year olds. The 5 elements most appealing to kids is its size, color, large rug, centers, and openness. I would change the open space to keep kids from running too fast through the room. The walls need more some projects and art work of the children to help the children feel connected. I see five learning centers. It does look safe and inviting.

1) For Early Preschool.
2) There are alot of bright colors, open space
3) I would add more materials. I would make things accessible to children. There is not much available or at students level. I would also make more muted colors to not stimulate the environment too much
4) There are 5 different areas
6) The environment looks safe, not many things

1. Which age group do you think this environment serves? I think it's for 2 year olds

2. What five elements about the environment do you find most appealing to that specific age group? I like the open space, how the seating are is in one are of the classroom. The what looks like cubbies to the right, the big rug for circle time, and how much light is getting in from the Windows.

3. What would you change if this were your classroom or home? Why?i would change the color of the walls, it's too bright also I would change that their isn't any of the kids artwork on the walls. Also the interest area off to the left is too thigh the children can't reach some of the activities.

4. How many interest areas or learning centers do you see in the photo?
I see 3 possible interest areas.
5. Do you believe the environment is inviting and safe based on the picture? Explain.
it is inviting, but the environment could be more so with the above fore-mentioned suggestions.

I think this serves preschoolers. The chairs are not quite low enough for toddlers, but not quite big enough for pre-k kids. I cant see many things in this classroom, but it looks like there are a few centers and then an area for circle time. If this were my classroom or home, I'd add more shelving and centers. There may be some not pictured, and also I see how the set up would be in consideration of adults being able to see across the room, but this room needs more than just a bright yellow color with a few tables and chairs. I would also personalize it with kids pictures and artwork on the walls. I think I see 3 centers? I believe it is safe, but I think the yellow is kind of jarring and bright, and that there needs to be more to do and more to look at!

This room looks like it is for preschoolers. I think the children would like the child sized furniture, open space, play carpet, sunlight, and yellow walls. I would add art and pictures of the kids on the walls to make it feel like their own. It looks like there are 3 or 4 interest areas. I think that adding to the walls would make it more inviting and getting rid of the tall shelf would make it more safe.

2) the best things about this classroom gor tbis age group are the small chairs and tables, the colorful rug, the large open space, the natural lighting of the room, and how yhe tables are seperated in different section.
3) i would probably start by changi g the color of the room to somthing less yellow, maybe more pastel.
4) i think there are 3 interest areas.
5) i do think it looks safe but maybe changing the color to make it more inviting.

1. This looks like a space for pre-k students, 3-5 years old.

2. The space is bright and colorful. It has a large rug space for free play. The tables have 4 or more seats at them which encourages group work. There are kitchen props that children might recognize from home. The walls are not cluttered with store-bought materials.

3. I would add student-made artwork or culturally diverse photography/artwork to the walls since they are quite bare and the color might be overwhelming to some. I would also break up the large space by adding a low level shelf.

4. I can only see the kitchen "cupboard" specifically, no other work areas are visible.

5. The space is inviting but the bright yellow needs to be broken up with appropriate wall hangings. The open space might leave some students without direction since there are no clear pathways to other work areas. It could be unsafe if children use the area to run around because there isn't a break between the rug and table area. There might be a blind spot in the left corner.

This room looks like it is meant for children between the ages of 1-2. I see small tables and chairs and easy accessible toys. I don't think this room is meant for preschoolers because I don't see any coloring tools or glue that can be accessed by the children. If this was my classroom I'd hang the children's art work on the walls. Other than that, it looks very colorful and inviting :)

1) I would say that this room is probably for older toddlers to early preschoolers. It looks very open and the furniture is small and the toys look to be within reach.
2) Five elements that I find most appealing to this age group is bright colors, furniture that fits their bodies, work on short shelves within their reach, a step stool to help the children reach things on shelves just out of their reach, and plenty of open space to move in.
3) If this were my class, I would hang the children's artwork on the walls because the walls are currently very bare and that would make the children feel more at home. I would also add a book area and a quiet spot, as well as some writing and coloring materials. I would also change some of the colors - I might tone them down a bit.
4) It looks to me like there are four or five interest areas - the tables, the rug, the two areas on either side of the rug, and maybe a whiteboard - it is hard to tell if it is a whiteboard or something to cover a radiator. There is also what appears to be a cubby area.
5) This environment looks very safe as long as the windows can only open a little bit and someone remembers to shut the door. I think the room looks somewhat inviting, but that with some changes, it could look even more inviting.

I think this environment serves for younger children maybe between the ages of 1.5 to 3

The space in the room is very open. The tables are low enough for younger children. The walls and shelves has bright colors that young children might like. The room is clean no toys thrown out everywhere. The teachers desk looks out into the room and kids can get to teacher easily.

I would add more artwork from the children on the wall to personalize the space.

I think i can see 3 areas of play.

I feel this environment is safe there doesn't seem to be anything dangerous for the children in the room. The room could be more inviting with pictures or artwork on the walls.
